I really need help selecting text or other things like pictures in gimp. For example, if I put in a text, then i press ok/close, but I want to edit the text, i don't know how. Also, selecting things in the sig like a logo I don't know how to do. For example, If I put the Ownt Logo inside my sig, I don't know how to select and edit it (cut, resize,etc). Someone please help me with Gimp!

You need to click on the layer in which you place whatever object, then work with it. Also, be sure you have the correct tool selected for the right layer type.
